2019 CI Student Days Attendees at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC.

Empowering Students with Real-World Challenges & Opportunities

Join the Construction Institute of ASCE in Denver, Colorado for CI’s annual Student Days program. Prepare a bid package with your team and put your education into action, while networking with potential employers.

CI Heavy Civil Engineering Team Challenge

The challenge project will require the teams to develop a written and oral real-world construction project proposal that takes all conditions into account, including local laws and regulations, as well as minimized impact to traffic, surrounding residential/commercial areas, and shareholders. The project will involve multiple disciplines, including but not limited to civil, foundations, concrete, and steel erection.

All invited students will have hotel costs provided by CI, in addition to partial food and travel expenses.

COVID-19 Update

It is with great sadness that we announce CI Student Days 2020, scheduled to take place on July 31–August 4, has been postponed until next year due to a host of factors resulting from the Covid-19 Global Pandemic. It was a difficult decision, but a necessary one to ensure the health and safety of all those involved. New dates and location will be announced in the coming weeks. Although our signature “in-person” program is postponed, we are offering a 3-week, 7-course webinar series to all applicants. More details will be provided soon, and students will be contacted directly regarding this online series.

We appreciate everyone who tried making this event possible during these challenging times. Our sincerest apologies, and our greatest thanks to you.
